Kusudama Starsea

 I've been doing quite a bit of origami and adding to my repetoire. There was a request from a young girl for a sphere so I made her a kusudama starsea.

 Then I couldn't stop and I made these two with the menu cards from a local restaurant.

I followed the video instructions of Tadashi Mori on YouTube and got these delightful results.
Use double sided paper which has a contrasting colour or pattern on both sides of the paper, that's when the star forms are more visible.

More Kusudama

I'm hooked on origami and the kusudama in particular. These beauties above only require six modules to create them.

The pink kusudama needs six modules and the bigger black and blue one needs thirty.

I'm going to attempt the Firecracker next.

I think I'm ready to take commissions to create window displays, decorate party spaces and small weddings!
